I am currently preparing for the research this summer. On Saturday my field assistant (Matt Dickinson) and I will be going to Little Duck to do a preliminary survey of currently flowering plants on the island. Hopefully the weather will cooperate. I really look forward to it.
Sounds great! I'm working at a wildlife sanctuary in far-northern Minnesota, dealing mostly with black bears, and will be doing a trail monitoring project to determine trail use by the various species that visit the sanctuary...I've got to try to figure out what comes in when and how often. It should be fun. I've got a blog about it. Glad to hear you've found something interesting to do for the summer!
